What makes TidiTurf different?
TidiTurf is a multi-layer product with a soft, plush, grass-like surface. It has a more natural feel than rigid, traditional turf products. It features an absorbent inner layer and a waterproof, skid-resistant bottom. Each layer is purpose-built so the whole thing just works.
Is it really machine washable?
Yes. That's what makes TidiTurf unique. It goes straight into any standard washing machine. No hand washing, no hosing down in the driveway. Wash on full fill, cold water, mild detergent. Air dry only. No dryer. Ready to go again.
What size is TidiTurf?
TidiTurf measures approximately 20” x 27”, a generous size for most small to medium dogs, compact enough to fit easily in a washing machine, and lightweight enough for travel.
USE & TRAINING
Will my dog actually use it?
Most dogs take to TidiTurf naturally. The soft, grass-like surface feels familiar and instinctively signals “this is the spot.” If your dog is used to grass or has used potty pads before, the transition is usually smooth. Consistency and positive reinforcement help, especially in the first few days.
Where can I use TidiTurf?
Indoors, on balconies, patios, and more. TidiTurf is designed for anywhere your dog needs a reliable potty spot, making it especially useful if you don't have a yard or easy outdoor access. Lightweight and rollable, it's the travel companion that goes anywhere your dog goes.
Is it durable? My dog is a chewer.
TidiTurf is built to hold up to daily wear and tear. It is significantly more resistant to pulling than standard artificial turf products. That said, TidiTurf is not designed to be a chew toy.
Is TidiTurf good for senior dogs or dogs with mobility issues?
Yes. We have a special place in our hearts for our four-legged (or sometimes three-legged) senior customers. TidiTurf gives older dogs or dogs recovering from surgery a consistent, accessible potty spot without the need to navigate stairs or go outside.
Is TidiTurf good for potty training puppies?
Yes! TidiTurf works great as a stepping stone to outdoor potty training. Once your puppy is consistently using it indoors, bring the mat outside and place it in the spot where you'd like them to go. Just make sure to do this before washing, so they can follow their own scent to the right place.
I live in an apartment or condo. Will this work for me?
High-rise dwellers, rejoice. TidiTurf was designed with you in mind. Place it on your balcony, patio, or anywhere inside and your dog has a reliable potty spot. No yard? No problem.
CLEANING & CARE
How often should I wash it?
That depends on your dog and how often it's used. Because urine drains through quickly, it won't pool or sit on the surface between washes. That said, most dogs prefer a fresh space, and regular washing keeps odors at bay. Many pet owners find it helpful to have a second mat on hand for convenience while the first one is in the wash.
Do I need to remove solid waste before washing?
Yes. Just like you would outdoors, remove any solid waste before tossing TidiTurf in the wash.
